I've been privileged to wear many hats while working at iFIT Health and Fitness. The company exploded in growth during the pandemic, creating new opportunities for me to help grow the platform within the product and research divisions.
Earlier products I helped create used technologies that adjust for a more personalized experience. Algorithm-based feature sets, such as SmartAdjust™ and ActivePulse™, continue to learn how members work out and use the information to deliver customized workouts and suggestions for future workouts. The features utilized a person's biometric patterns that allow the machine to adjust automatically based on a physical factor, like heart rate. I also worked alongside a talented team of Product Managers and third-party vendors to deliver the company's first AppleTV and Roku TV applications.
My next task was to form a new User Experience Research Team. Under my direction, the UXR Team created new processes and standards for conducting qualitative and quantitative user testing protocols. This led to the incorporation of a data-driven design model for the research and product teams. This better understanding of iFIT's users and their health and fitness needs helped the product team strategize, prioritize, and iterate over current and new feature sets to reach users' expectations.
Currently, I'm back helping lead the product vision, under the care of the VP of Product and Director of Product Design, of the company's next iteration of its core application. This next iteration will contain reimagined core features, a new user interface, and an emphasis on user personalization.
